I have a lot of ants climbing all over the trees and they seem to be
particularly interested in hanging around on the blossoms.  I see the rare
flower or two that still have petals missing the center parts (the tendrils or
whatever they are called) and I have seen an ant sticking its head in the
vacant hole.

Other than that I have not seen much damage to flowers nor young fruit, nor
does there seem to be any pollination issues since most flowers swell into
fruit in their due time.  What are the ants after?  I have only seen a few
aphids placed by ants on one leaf in the whole orchard, that was a month ago.
Are they just looking for aphids or causing a problem that isn't visible?

The ants didn't seem this interested in the blossoms in the past two seasons.
While I'm on the subject of ants.  Is it better to let the ants collect up
aphids so I can get them all in a few places or better to get rid of the ants
so the aphids fall prey to their predators?
