Honestly I never heard of PFS write. I started with Appleworks. I also dabbled with Fredwriter (public domain, I believe), and Bank Street Writer. I still use AppleWorks, however I use it on the Mac (Deja ][ emulator). Sure, we have newer things nowadays, but AppleWorks was so much simpler, and faster. I have AppleWorks 6.04 for the mac, but I only use it to make things look pretty, or to fax.
