As one with a mountain of experience on bleaching of old cases, I say, oh pshaw. Not ONE of the hundred Macs and Apples I've bleached ever caved or cracked from bleaching. I set them in the summer desert sun and spray them all over up to 20 times to restore original color. They sit for 12 or more hours covered in bleach, until I drench them in water, (cases disemboweled), rub them down with a wet terry towel, then a dry one, and reassemble.
