I was working on a couple of APple 2e's yesterday and noticed something I hadn't seen in any of the FAQs. One of them is a platinum model with the integrated numeric keypad. I noticed that the "solid apple" key is missing on that keyboard. Instead, there is an "option" key, like on the Macintoshes that were released around that time (and the IIGS). I'm assuming that it serves the same function.
Any other little differences that folks have noticed? I've got a beige system and a platinum one and am in the process of putting together a single system with the best of the parts from each. It includes a 40MB Vulcan HD, a Transwarp card, Super Serial Card, AppleCat modem, mouse card, 3.5 drive, 5.25 drive and a Checkmate MultiRam card with 2MB and the RGB option. I have a Ramfactor/Ramcharger to use too, but I think I'll b e out of slots. :-) Also, anyone know where I can get documentation on the Vulcan HD? I don't have any of the software or manuals for it. I'd like to at least get the system disks for it, in case I want to reformat and/or repartition. cheers, -Hal -- Apple2list is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Apple2list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/apple2.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/apple2list%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
