Dale, while I haven't seen the Tandy-Apple drive "in the flesh", so to speak, I've seen it in Tandy/Radio Shack catalogs back when I worked in the computer department of a Radio Shack store eons ago... It was during the time when RS/Tandy was trying to go after the schools with the Tandy 1000's, IIRC, and the drive went with the T1000 so schools could (hazier on details here) either convert data files and/or run Apple II files via an emulator (like another Apple machine of that time... known as the Mac). Back when I was working as the computer dept. manager (only person in the dept., so I *must* have been the manager for that store's computer dept., right? ;-) , I sometimes caught flak at district meetings from other computer dept. managers because I had this Apple IIe (oh yeah, and my TRS Model 100 - early RS laptop - had an Apple decal on it... ) Thanks for reminding me of some of my own Apple IIe memories... Now it must be time for me to go take a nap, too, huh? ;-) Apple geek since 1983 or 1984 (the memory is one of the first things to go), Jim Rohde In my museum: Apple IIe, (2) Apple IIgs (1 is Woz edition), non-working Mac IIcx, (working) Mac Quadra 700, PowerBook 2000 (FireWire), and (most recent addition, care of my brother's partner) original Revision A iMac. P.S. Oh yeah, still have that TRS Model 100 (anyone want to buy it?) with cassette player, barcode reader, tech/ROM manual, 5 or so programs (including a game or two)... I don't suffer from insanity.
