The HS is good, and easy to use, but a lot of people prefer the Ramfast since it can allow a lot more partitions to be available to the GS/OS desktop. The HS can allow more than the 2 per slot the //e allows (4 total using ProDOS with slot mapping) but the Ramfast allows swapping via the built-in utilities. I prefer the Apple HS on my //e--it's a bit more straightforward to use, tho setup is sometimes a bit finicky-er than the RamFast since termination isn't as user-transparent as it is on the RamFast.
If you'd be only using a ZipDisk on the Apple, the Ramfast is ready to go--you have to do a easy-to-do mod to the Apple Card to make it work properly. This is, of course, just a quick synopsis--I'd be happy to give more info off-list if you'd like. :) On Thu, 24 Jul 2003, Leigh Seaver wrote: > Hi! > > Would the high-speed SCSI card be appropriate for an Apple IIgs? > > What sort of protocols will it support? > > Do you have the appropriate drivers? > > Thanks, > > L > > > On Thursday, Jul 24, 2003, at 21:32 US/Eastern, Ted wrote: > > > I have some Apple II stuff for sale. > > > > Super Cereal Cards $5.00 OBO > > > > Apple High Speed SCSI cards $45.00 OBO > > > > 3.5" $20.00 > > > > 5.25" drives $10.00 > > > > I also have some hard drives and some software. > > > > Contact me off list if you are interested. > > > > Ted in Tacoma, Wa. > > > > -- > > Apple2list is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... > > > > / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ > > / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ > > > > Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> > > > > Apple2list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/apple2.html> > > --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" > > Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/apple2list%40mail.maclaunch.com/> > > > > Using a Mac?
