There was RamUp from Quality Computers, and I think it does what you're
looking for.  It's on the Trenco ftp site.  THere was also Randy Brandt's
SpellCopy that would copy the AW dictionaries to a ramdisk.  I have the
setup at home and I'm trying to remember if it sets up the ramdisk or if I
have another program that does that at launch.  I do remember that I used
John Link's SuperPatch (also on Trenco) to automatically set the Ramdisk
size to something that would be just big enough to hold the dictionaries,
letting the user have the remaining RAM for desktop space.
