After posting about problems with my IIgs crashing, a fellow lister suggested the Apple Memory Test program. Luckily, I happened to have a copy of this tool in the VERY limited quantity of Apple II software that I have.
The first time I tried to run the test (after booting in GS/OS 4.0) it had the audacity to crash on me before I could start the test and then I got a "Fatal Error" doing a soft restart. After I did get the test to run I was greeted with an unfriendly message:
Bad Memory Detected at $020002
Where on the 1 MB Apple Expansion card would this be? I suppose this would be the reason for all of the crashes.
Suggestions?
Thanks a lot,
Matt
