Tuesday, October 28, 2003 One of my IIgs's suddenly refuses to boot into the 16-bit System 6.0.1 ... but still boots fine into 8-bit ProDOS. I've always used ProSel-16. As this machine does little but run AppleWorks 5.1, using ProSel-8 is satisfactory ... but I miss the powerful ProSel-16 utilities.
After trying (and failing) to boot from various 3.5 disks as well as from the hard drive, I've concluded it must be a hardware problem. I've tried the usual remove/replace slot cards to assure good contacts. Any suggestions???
