I've a handful of Apple II diskettes from over 20 years ago, and would like to salvage the programs off them (if they are still readable) for sentimental reasons. I know that at least a few of them are okay as I've been able to read some info off them on my PC using the Disk2FDI utility. Is there anybody in the northeast of England that would be kind enough to test these disks on an Apple II? Ideally in the Darlington/Middlesbrough/Stockton area, although anywhere within an a couple of hours drive would be fine. Someone in Germany has very generously offered to transfer the diskettes to PC if they are still readable, but I'm loathe to entrust my only copies of these disks to the postal system.

Not only would you be doing me a great favour, but you'd get the entertainment value of seeing me giggle like a school kid or cry like a baby depending on the success at reading the disks :)

Thanks,

Cliff
