Oh... and you don't need the drivers on the HFS partitions... you need
them in their appropriate location in the System folder on the ProDOS
partiton that you're booting the IIgs.

Ok... if I understand this properly then this is what you will want to
do... use SCSI Utilities to partition the drive... make them the sizes
you want... then reguardless of whether they are smaller than 32MB or
not, format them all ProDOS.... then run the GS OS installer from disk
one.... install a good system with whatever drivers you need onto the
main ProDOS partition you intend to boot from.... be sure to select
HFS FST from them.... and install to the partition that you intend to
leave as ProDOS....
Reboot to the hard drive.... select a ProDOS formated partition that
is larger than 32MB (the OS will currently only see it as 32MB) and
select the Erase Disk option from the Special menu and reformat the
partion for HFS. You should then be able to use the partition to it's
full capacity.
Thats how I set up my 350MB hard drive.
