I was actually looking into this earlier this week and found something called SuperConvert 4 that looks very promissing.... couldn't find it for download or sale at first but after asking in CSA2 I got a link to a download. You can get it here:

<ftp://ftp.apple.asimov.net/pub/apple_II/unsorted/SuperConvert4.SDK>

I havn't actually tried it out so I don't know for myself just how well it works... but it did have some good reviews.

Does GIFConverter convert to any image formats that take advantage of the
IIGS's high resolutions, such as the 3200-color mode? If not, what's a good
image converter that will convert JPGs or GIFs on the IIGS to a high
resolution, high-depth IIGS image?

Anyone?

Thanks,
 Nat

Speaking of .gifs, I've just been trying out Kevin A. Mitchell's
GIFConverter. It converts most any image, even AOL .jpgs and Mac screen

captures, into a

variety of image formats, including .gifs that the //e can view. It even
nicely trims the resource fork down to zero, so unforking the Mac files on

the //e

are fast and don't take up a hunk of drive space. About the only drawback

is

having to convert the images to .gifs one at a time, but it does allow
resizing of the images, making them fully displayable on the 8-bit Apple

II screens.

What does anyone else use?
