Actually, the notchers did just the opposite. It allows you to use the backside of a 5.25" disk by cutting a write notch into the disk's sleeve. :)

Heh, yeah. Someone else on the list caught me on that one, too.

I have short-term memory damage. I only retain things through exhaustive
