Hi!

I have put my recently acquired Unidisk 3.5" controller card in the slot 5
of my Apple //e Enhanced, but without connecting an UniDisk 3.5" to it. I
booted ProDOS and tried to do a "CAT,S5" just for the sake. Instead of the
"I/O ERROR" message I expected, I received a "NO DEVICE CONNECTED" error.
When I tried an "PR#5" command, I obtained the same error, both with and
without ProDOS loaded. A quick "C500L" command on the Monitor shows that the
card's ROM looks right: there is no garbage, and the code looks simmilar to
the Disk ][ controller's ROM.

Does the "NO DEVICE CONNECTED" message show because I have no drive
connected to the controller? This happens even if I plug a DuoDisk into it.
Is the UniDisk 3.5 controller incompatible with the DuoDisk drive?

Greetings,

Antonio Rodrguez (Grijan)
