I'm curious; what did they charge you for the IIC CPU? Like, a buck-something? That's gotta be an all-time low for a thrift store computer find.
I've run into a few thift stores that seem to have problems differentiating old systems from new. I think $100 for, say, a Mac Plus CPU may be overdoing it a bit. @_@
Sadly, even in Silicon Valley...computer literacy is not as widespread as you would think (or hope).

I didn't see a price on the CPU, so I was expecting it to be in the $5-10 range. I was surprised to find out that it was only $1. The ADB KB/mouse got sold as a single item also for $1. I'll have to do some searching for a power brick, but I am guessing that I will have to turn to the Apple 2 list or swap list for one. I will then try it with a TV to see what it looks like and then go from there. Changing the subject a little... I at one time found a computer (I don't remember exactly what it was, but I think it was a TRS-80.) for $4 or $2 (again, not sure) in a thrift store. The "new" toy I have beats that considerably.
