The hard drive is mounted on the card that goes into slot 7.
When I boot up, GS OS starts but never completes the startup.

What slot is the controller card in? Is the hard drive contiguous with the controller card? If not, is there a cable from the controller card to the power supply? I ask this because Focus drives usually have much higher capacities so I wondering if perhaps you have a Vulcan hard drive.
