The price is unlikely to drop. The new TWGS boards, if they are ever produced, will cost nearly as much as a second-hand one, if not more. Think of it this way: most of the products released in recent years are relatively simple yet cost $50 to $100. Even a modern TWGS would be complex and expensive to manufacture. I would be surprised if they were under $300, and I would be shocked if they were under $200. (If they were reliable, I'd probably be shocked into buying one.)
