If the //Gs pci card had a db-19 plug for the Apple drives that would be
a plus (pun intended) The peecee card that we used in the Superior
School district had the old style ribbon connectors for the diskdrive.
The kids kept pulling off these ribbon cables in the classroom. They
also fried several drive analog boards when reconnecting the cable one
row of pins off on the card. It never wrecked the emulator board but I
know I replaced several analog boards in the Apple // disk drives. These
peecee computers with the Apple // emulator card installed were used for
several years with few problems in the district.

That can all (except the Apple // slot) be done in software. Sounds
cool, but unless someone can show a market for thousands of units, it's
just not likely to happen. Hardware is too expensive to produce for
such low volume projects.
