One sees her worth in the prestine order and beauty
she radiates throughout her realm of her influence.

The other, his worth in the trophys of conquests
and the muscle tingling challenges promised,
by each project piling up in the garage,
threatening to steal
precious time the first wants from the second,
often encroaching on her realm,
menacing the prisitine order and beauty
she emanated and lavished on her domain.

neither understanding the energy of the promises
nor the threats implied, percieved, impending

there comes a time when a choice must be made
between the promise of the invigorating test of virility
in each project lying in wait in the garage
or the tranquility and beauty of Eve's new garden of Eden

could it be simply that the fear
of the thunderying, fiery wrath
of an angry goddess trumps
any hand of potential jousting

or just a desire for peace and quite?

Subject: Other collectables suffer the same fate

Before I got married I collected first generation Camaro's and high
performance engines etc. After I was married for a little while one of
my friends asked in jest that if I died tomorrow where would my
collection go. My wife perked up and said the landfill ! Hearing that
remark I decided to sell everything and only keep my 1968 Camaro SS/RS
convertible and some Z-28 motors. I made a ton of money selling the
other stuff and was able to purchase quite a nice house. Do I miss my
Camaro's and stuff. Heck yes but now I can sit in my easy chair in front
of the gas insert fireplace and dream of the Camaro's long gone. No
worried about insurance, storage vandalism or theft. Collecting stuff is
one of the dangers of marriage... LOL

Subject: Re: Did the WOZ edition come as a ROM 0?

Regarding rarety and price for Rom01 GS'es:

Last month, I picked up 9 (that's NINE) GS CPU's from ebay from a single
vendor. These are all sans cards and pretty much everything but the CPU
box itself.

I paid $3 (three dollars) each for 6 working units, and $1.50 for three
units that were not working for whatever reason. And since the seller
happened to be local, he even drove them by my place and dropped them
off.

Boy, was my wife happy...NOT.

Anyway, just a data point...
