Wait - there is something I don't understand. There can't be Apple //c-specific software in tapes because the //c doesn't have cassette port. Are you saying your intention is to bach up *disk-based* software into a CD and then load it by the cassette port?

If that's the case, you may want to take into account that most (if not all) disk-based software won't work from a tape, just because it expects data to be loaded from disk files (and not from cassette). If you intend to back-up disk-based software, you better use some kind of disk imaging solution. There are many programs that let you connect an Apple II with a PC or a Mac through serial port in order to transfer disk images in both directions. When you have the disk images in the PC/Mac, you can store them safely in CDs or DVDs (a single CD can store several *thousands* of disk images!), or even use them directly with Apple II emulators.
