It is a pleasure for me to represent Europe during the plenary session of this
OECD Ministerial meeting on the future of internet economy. Our meeting is
important and topical at a time where ultra-fast broadband is being rolled-out

Canada and the need for speed - ISPs throttle broadband
While ISPs in other countries satisfy public and business broadband appetite by
upgrading infrastructure, Canada throttles. How long can it last? - With the
explosion of bandwidth-hungry habits such as peer-to-peer file sharing, video
streaming and teleworking, experts are warning that Canadian ISPs are reaching
the limits of their capacity under the current infrastructure. But while
service providers in other countries are investing in new technology to
increase capacity, Canadian telcos are trying to curb high-use customers
through methods like throttling, or degrading the speed of clients who use
peer-to-peer software.

ICANN: Improving Institutional Confidence consultation launched
More than two years ago, the President’s Strategy Committee (PSC) commenced a
series of consultations on how to strengthen and complete the ICANN
multi-stakeholder model. In addition, the recent Midterm Review of the Joint
Project Agreement (JPA) between the United States Department of Commerce and
ICANN produced useful comments about ICANN’s performance and future. Most
commentators in that consultation believe ICANN has made significant progress,
but that some key areas need to be improved in order to complete the transition
to an agreed model of multi-stakeholder coordination of the Internet’s unique

Appraisal-Analyse – was taugen Wertgutachten?

In Niue gibts darüber hinaus bald

Snart tomt for nettadresser
brukt opp.
