There is a problem with common-lisp-controller where the .fasl files are
placed in a different location to the source files. This means that SBCL
searches for the bitmaps in the wrong place. I think I added a fix for
this in SVN a week to two ago, please try it out and let the group know.

I also noticed this similar problem using Lispworks in Win32. The screen
will sometimes display black and the bitmaps are only displayed the
second time the example is run. Weird.

I'll try get around to installing Fedora 5 on a spare machine at home
and then get all the lispbuilder-sdl-* libraries to work in Linux this
weekend.
