Ah yes, that works thanks!
find . -regex ".*.fas" | xargs -i rm {}
I did delete all the .fas files in between switching from clisp cygwin
to clisp windows, don't know why it didn't occur to me when I upgraded
cffi.
Now to try the rest of your howto.
