Without looking into this, I want to point out that's it is perfectly normal that a state of the art solver like aspcud is able to solve problems that a bad solver like aptitude can't. I can't speak for them, but I'm not sure the aptitude team has the knowledge or capacity to work on their solver, it's a beast, and like with apt's solver it's hard to make changes confidently without having a huge test corpus to see what it regresses. -- debian developer - deb.li/jak | jak-linux.org - free software dev ubuntu core developer i speak de, en _______________________________________________ Aptitude-devel mailing list [email protected] https://alioth-lists.debian.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/aptitude-devel
