In the session you quoted they are being upgraded, not installed.[1]
Aptitude will only install recommended packages when installing a
new package. From the man page:
-r, --with-recommends
Treat recommendations as dependencies when installing new
packages (this overrides settings in /etc/apt/apt.conf and
~/.aptitude/config).
However, aptitude will also install any packages which are *new*
recommendations of an upgraded package. That is, if the current
version of foo does not recommend bar, but the new version does,
then bar will be installed as a recommendation.

aptitude-doc-en for a more detailed explanation.
