Hello,

Thank you for your interest in improving Debian, and sorry to keep the
bug unattended for so long.  There's now an effort to review the open
bugs related with aptitude and resume development.

This bug report doesn't even provide a back trace, and now it's quite
dated, so there's nothing much that we can do.

Also I can run aptitude as a normal user without problem since a few years ago.

So I'm closing the bug report now.  Please submit a new bug with
current information if you still experience similar crashes now.
