Package: aptitude
Version: 0.4.11.2-1
Severity: normal

Hello,

when looking at dependencies of Christian Marillat's mplayer package, I noticed aptitude doesn't show the "Suggests: libdvdcss" dependency as satisfied, although I have libdvdcss2 installed and libdvdcss2 provides libdvdcss. However, a Depends: dependency from libdvdcss-dbg showed both as expected.

Regards

Hello

I can not reproduce this on a current Squeeze system. The suggests line
you mention is shown as satisfied when the providing package is
installed. The same is true for other packages with this kind of
relationship, such as anacron which Suggests: default-mta |
mail-transport-agent.

Closing. Feel free to reopen with more information if you still
experience this problem.

Regards
