Severity: normal

Maybe this is related to

#394772 aptitude: Packages being automatically installed not always shown

Today when I upgraded my sid chroot, aptitude said it would
automatically remove two packages, tetex-base and tetex-doc, and also
that it would remove those packages, but the total count of removed
packages was 81, not 2. And in fact a lot of packages was removed.

A screenshot with the displayed list of packages, including
to-be-REMOVED, is at

and

http://people.debian.org/~frank/aptitude2.gif
http://people.debian.org/~frank/aptitude3.gif

show which packages were actually removed.

Regards, Frank

We now have one list with tags, looks like this:

# aptitude install -Pr i3
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  dunst{a} i3 i3lock{a} libxcb-dpms0{a}
0 packages upgraded, 4 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 70.8 kB of archives. After unpacking 262 kB will be used.
Do you want to continue? [Y/n/?]

Looks to me it as if this issue is already solved. Hence closing the
bug report with the version currently in Sid/Wheezy.
