It would be nice if you could check these: The text input box near the string is not displayed if it is too long and there's no line break in it. This phrase (also tried smaller parts of it) does not exist anymore, so I could not apply this change.
The following is hard to translate because the gender of the object (the solution) is not clear. It's necessary to explain this. I attached a patch which adds a few ForTranslators: comments. Please check and apply it.
Done. I change ForTranslator to TRANSLATORS, since somebody asked us to do this in the past.

The other uses special syntax to highlight the message in ncurses with cwidget, I don't think that there is a straight way to accomodate for the two use cases at the same time.

It also looks odd to me, fixed.
Is "it is" correct? #: src/ui.cc:732 msgid "View packages that it is recommended that you install" Here too: #: src/ui.cc:2154 msgid "" "View packages which it is recommended that you install, but which are not " "currently installed."
I think that it is correct, "it is" does not refer to "packages" but to the fact of them being recommended. Consider the alternative: "It is recommended that you install some packages, press here to view them".

Not a native speaker, but I also think that this parses fine for me. 'solution for' could be valid here, but looking in online forums seems that 'solution to' is the preferred combination most often.
