thanks
(forgot to send this last night, oops)
On Fri, Nov 23, 2001 at 07:23:07PM -0800, Grant Bowman <[email protected]> was
heard to say:
Dialog shows "Really quit aptitude?" Buttons are Yes and No.
Default is no on right side.
You already are giving a dialog box. Making it more difficult to get
to where the user wants to get is not helpful. Please make the
default button be Yes and move it to the right side.
The default is No precisely because people complained they were
exiting aptitude accidentally.
I'll leave this open so I can consider it after finals, but it's an
incredibly minor problem.
Almost 14 years later after the original maintainer and developer said
this, I think that it's far too late to change the behaviour now. There
have not been any requests in the last few years. So realistically, we
are not going to implement this any time soon.
If one wants to get rid of the dialog altogether, there is the
possibility to set "Aptitude::UI::Prompt-On-Exit" to "False" in the
configuration, so it doesn't even ask for confirmation when pressing
'q'.
So marking it as +wontfix, so it doesn't show all of the time in the
list of bugs that are real candidates to fix.
Cheers.
