aptitude lists the available version in the list as "<none>".
This message that you reported does not seem related to the original
problem that you added to, and that I am about to close.
I never experienced this myself nor saw related bug reports other than
this one; but if you can reproduce this or saw it recently, please
submit a new bug report.
