Hi Peter,

2014-06-04 14:24 Peter Gervai:
Package: aptitude
Version: 0.6.10-1
Severity: important

aptitude segfaults between download and preconfigure phase.

Can you reproduce this with later versions?

It would be useful also if you report these bugs with 'reportbug',
because it includes useful information like architecture, Debian release
(stable, unstable, ...), versions of the package and its dependencies
(here for example aptitude is crashing with apt).

We can deduce some of this information from the stacktrace, but not
enough precision about apt versions, for example.

Apart from that, almost all relevant lines in the stacktrace are from
apt, but without lines and variable values that are causing the problem
there is not much that we can do. We need the packages and actions
involved, and a way to reproduce it -- if we cannot reproduce it and
debug in our machines, there's again not much that we can do about this,
sorry.

Probably a temporary problem due to libapt or interactions between
aptitude and libapt, because there are no other similar reports.

I am going to close this bug report, please reopen if you still see it
or can provide more information.

Cheers.
