Maybe I am missing something, the sequence of actions is a bit confusing, but as far as I can see, the problem is that "hpijs: Depends: hplip (= 2.8.6.b-1) but 2.8.6.b-3 is to be installed". In the last of the commands, it correctly suggests to upgrade "hpijs hplip hplip-dbg", which in principle should be a valid solution. Was it not so? In any case, the resolver changed a lot in the years after this bug report, and after so many years, I do not think that we can do much about this bug report. Cheers. -- Manuel A.
