Package: aptitude
Version: 0.4.4-1
Severity: normal

In some circumstances, which seem to involve planetary constellation,
^Z in aptitude doesn't work. At all. Like, it does nothing.

I can send along my configuration, but it is nothing special. Like
most people (I think) I disable all the frills at the top of the screen
and hide the long descriptions at the bottom.

Any occurence since then?

I cannot reproduce this now.

Then again, things have changed quite a bit :-) For one thing, I almost
always run aptitude in an X terminal emulator now; I think back when I
reported this I still used a dedicated Linux VT.

I tried to reproduce it in the VT and was fine, but as you said, it
happened once in a blue moon.

In any case, there have been no "seconds" about this specific problem
for many years, and as I explained, suspend signal is not something that
the process can ignore, so I don't think that it would be a problem that
could be attributed to aptitude or that we could do much about.

I'm going to close this now, but please reopen if you find this problem
again in the future, and hopefully we can reproduce it and investigate
then.

Cheers.
