In a clean sid schroot, aptitude fails when the homedir doesn't exist:
# HOME=/nonexistant/ aptitude install bash
E: Could not create directory: /nonexistant//.cache: boost::filesystem::create_directory:
No such file or directory: "/nonexistant//.cache"
This causes sbuild with schroot to using the aptitude backend to fail,
as it sets HOME=/sbuild-nonexistent.
Thanks for the report.
This is fixed in VCS, to be released soon (either as a Debian revision
or as new upstream), so marking as +pending.
@Axel: if you are reading this and it becomes critical in the next few
days, when I might be slow to react, you can release at least a
Debian revision with the patch -- I think that it is safe.
