Hi!

Today while doing an "aptitude dist-upgrade" I saw one issue (output in
Portuguese, but I will explain):

# aptitude dist-upgrade
Lendo Lista de Pacotes... Pronto
Construindo Árvore de Dependências... Pronto
Lendo informações estendidas de estado
Inicializando estados de pacotes... Pronto
Construindo a base de dados... Pronto
Os pacotes a seguir serão atualizados:
  cpp-4.1 cron g++-4.1 gcc-4.1 gcc-4.1-base initramfs-tools libc6 libc6-dev
  libc6-i686 libdb4.4 libhal-storage1 libhal1 libkrb53 libslang2 libssp0
  libstdc++6-4.1-dev libvolume-id0 libxfont1 locales manpages manpages-dev
  openbsd-inetd pkg-config powermgmt-base reportbug udev
Os pacotes a seguir foram RECOMENDADOS mas NÃO serão instalados:
  libmudflap0-dev python-cjkcodecs python-iconvcodec
26 pacotes atualizados, 0 novos instalados, 0 a serem removidos e 0 não
atualizados.
É preciso obter 23,9MB de arquivos. Depois do desempacotamento, 229kB serão
liberados.
Você deseja continuar? S/n/?]

(The last part is "Do you want to continue? [Y/n/?]").

Pressing "s" and Enter, it displays the size changes, instead interpreting
my S as it should (an Yes).

With LC_ALL=C I have the same result. It looks like it's something that
was not translated correctly to Portuguese (interpreting the S as Y).

(BTW, nice thing this "s" showing the size changes. First time that I am seeing
this).

Thank you!

Best regards,
Nelson

This has been fixed long ago, so closing.

The latest complaints in all the merged reports are from 2006 and 2007,
and code mentioned here has been removed before 2008, so nothing remains
to be done in this regard.
