Package: aptitude Version: 0.7.5-3 Severity: normal I wonder what has happened to the display recently. The attached screenshot shows what happens when there are broken package dependencies: #Broken: no longer shows the number, and the DL Size: has no units. Is this a width issue, or has the status line changed to include more content or something? These pieces of information are probably more significant than the aptitude version number. It's in an 80 character wide xfce4 terminal window.
The main change in the last versions was the inclusion of Hostname by default in the header (from requests in other reports). I now changed the default widths and expansion/shrinking of the more important fields so this will hopefully will not be an issue with 80-width terminals. The header line can be changed in the options anyway (aptitude::UI::Package-Header-Format, from the Options menu, command line or config file), e.g. to remove the program name or version if you don't want it shown.
