Package: aptitude
Version: 0.6.8.2-1.2
Severity: normal

When I start "aptitude" (no arguments, curses interface), packages are
sometimes selected for upgrade by default, for no apparent reason.
Since this behavior is not documented in the man page, I assume that
this is a bug.

Such packages are sometimes in a broken state, which is annoying.

Has this been happening in recent versions? I have not experience this
behaviour, at least not in the last few months/years.

I don't think this happened recently. Well, I can't remember,
so that I assume that this didn't happen recently.

I assume that if it starts to happen again you or somebody else will
report it; so I think that it's better to close this report.

(FWIW I don't remember this happening in my systems).

Cheers.
