In recent times, Aptitude has matured quite nicely and I find myself using it
more and more. However, there are two last desirable features from APT that
aren't implemented in Aptitude: fetching build-depends and source. This bug
is therefore a wishlist for those to be implemented.

Hi,

2006-12-16 17:25 Gleidson Echeli Leopoldo:
Package: aptitude
Version: 0.4.3-1
Severity: wishlist

I think that would be a good idea to have a option for to do download of
source archives of the some packages as well as 'source' option from
apt-get.

Since apt-get already allows to do this and it's the canonical way, I
think that it's unnecessary / harmful for aptitude to reimplement this
feature.

So closing as +wontfix, sorry.

Cheers.
