Althuogh it's not exactly what is requested, apt-listbugs can be used for this. It has the nice property that not only runs with aptitude. Apart from that, getting data from the network --specially in programs running as root [at least part of the time]-- is highly problematic, and the feature is quite non-trivial to implement and maintain. So I am closing this as +wontfix, because unless somebody would step up to implement and maintain the feature it wouldn't happen, and it's been laying there already for more than 4 years without receiving any attention.
