I have the URL, user ID and password for at least 2 accounts - one
investment account and one credit card account. These only allow
transaction list downloads, but I have successfully used ofx.py to
access the data. I have been considering moving my normal banking
from a credit union to a bank that offers free Quicken access.
Getting aqbanking up for full direct connect might push me to
actually make the switch.
Intuit has effectively priced the entire US credit union population
out of the direct connect realm (and even the QFX/OFX transaction
download option).
For the first time in 30 or more years, commercial banks in the US
have at least some consumer options that compare favorably with
credit union deals. Credit unions are still far less abusive towards
customers, but if one is careful, the worst fees can be avoided at
banks.
If Martin is going to look at the wizard anytime soon, he'll probably
be done with it before I'd even figure out the logic flow. Still, I'm
quite happy to do testing on my end, and if it requires it, I'll get
a Quicken capable bank account.
