I don't know what's going on, but just after I had two successful connections in a row (at least through receipt of data), I'm back to not being able to connect. The second connection crashed gnucash because I did have 2 versions of libofx around. I thought I had masked the first, but I failed in that. The crash log showed a direct jump from libosp.4.dylib to libosp.5.dylib, followed by a bad instruction exception.

Since then I, I removed the older versions of libofx and libosp, and removed and rebuilt libofx, gwen, aqbanking, and qbankmanager. I also removed all of the files associated with the new gnucash (I need the old one for my live data). But the presence or absence of gnucash 1.9.notquite0 hasn't seemed to affect connections since (max of 1 connection before failing all subsequent ones, and now even completely flushing /opt and rebuilding from distclean sources does not succeed in a first connection).

I'm beginning to suspect my router is swallowing packets (Netgear WGT624 v3 with latest firmware). I guess it's time for either a protocol analyzer or a debugger. More things to learn...

In case it is of any use, here is the terminal output from a typical attempt in Qbankmanager. Based on its location in the message stream, I haven't been worrying about the malloc error. That's new in the last few days, but I have just started adding --enable-debug to my configure options.
