[...] AFAIK this is more of a religious question... I'm using the autotools for quite some time now and I like the fact that I'm able to build my projects on mutliple platforms with it. I know that there are other, new tools but I'm still not convinced that changing from a running system to one of the newer ones would be helpfull at this point.
The fact is that once you are familiar with the autotool - and it might take some time until you do, I grant you that - it actually is quite usefull. After that it is very easy to add new tests... So while I'm in no way advocating the autotools I know how to work with them, and as long as there is no really convincing replacement I for myself will stick to them :-/ Regards Martin -- "Things are only impossible until they're not" Martin Preuss - http://www.aquamaniac.de/ AqBanking - http://www.aqbanking.de/ LibChipcard - http://www.libchipcard.de/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
