Please define what you mean by "developing the bindings further". Has this 
work or any version of it been published anywhere? If yes, where?

When I said "have last been changed in 2006", I was referring to the python 
bindings which have been published together with aqbanking for years, and 
whose current status and version history can be looked up in aqbanking's SVN 
repository.

As you are referring to some piece of python code which I know nothing about, 
you should now start to explain at which libaqbanking version it still worked 
and at which libaqbanking version it stopped working. Also, please send your 
error message in detail.

No, there is no such document. You can look into the code, and you should also 
state from which original version you were coming.
