No, currently the application is responsible for this (QBankManager already does this). However, your question made me think: The setup tool should also be able to do that... So I will build this into the setup dialogs. In effect both GnuCash and KMM will then be able to import previous configurations. For now you should use QBankManager to update your configuration. After that it should work with GnuCash-trunk as well (after applying the latest patch as seen on the gnucash-devel list).
