Could you increase the loglevel for libgwenhywfar? I don't know how GnuCash does it, normally setting the environment variable "GWEN_LOGLEVEL" to "info" should suffice. However, if I remember correctly GnuCash has its own debug level setting mechanism (there might be a menu entry). You should especially lookout for notions like "configmgr.c:xxx: Adding path xyz" Does this list you paths in /opt?
