Oh, but it does ;-) Well, at least, it did. Reports->Summary Reports, create a new report. In the upcoming dialog you can check the button "Calculate Real Balance". This makes the report show the calculated balance of every (based on the current balance and the transactions between now and the beginning og the report period). Be sure to check "Show days". BTW: My local version is broken, it doesn't allow me to edit the report profile ATM, but maybe your version still works.
