OK folks, here's another "recover my PPP connection" utility you may be interested in. This one simply resets your UART's FIFO logic and reloads it's baud rate divisor. BTW, you could also use it to change your FIFO's RX trigger level (ie. if you are using EPPPD, which has no provision to set this parameter), although that's not it's intended purpose :
