As for accssing SCSI stuff ... some adapters may need to be tweaked in certain ways to handle some Linux stuff, IIRC And could you advise which device you have the CD-ROM set up as? You see, with all the SCSI adapters I've had, device addresses 0 and 1 are restricted to HDDs, and you must go to 2-6 for other types of devices. I was able to find drivers for my 3COM card recently on their WWW site. I don't know for sure that they work as I have not tried installing them on two systems yet. Supposedly, you can get DOS networking software from a link off of the "Interesting DOS Programs" site. But I haven't used task manager since running out of memory with DOS Lynx386. Currently I have practically no room for a swap file on a Zip 250 disk. Hard disks are still inaccessible. What remains to be tried is to remove, rejumper both for master, and reinstall one at a time. One mounting screw is missing, but the hole is filled, as if the screw broke off, but how would that happen? Would this little bit of looseness render a hard disk unreadable? Or is it really farkled?
