Sam Heywood,
What kind of computer do you have that won't boot at < 65 F ambient temperature
and crashes at 85 F? Is there a CPU fan? CPU generates heat while running,
which may explain why it won't boot at < 65 F, but will continue if already
running. I believe my computer has booted with temperature slightly < 65 F. My
computer runs in summer heat, has been up to 91 F, normally in the 80s in July.
I can be quite comfortable at a room temperature of 85 F with summer humidity.
Now, with room temperature 67 F, my computer case, outside the CPU fan, is warm
to the touch but not as warm as in summer.
